Storage Conditions For Castings

Feb 18, 2026 Leave a message

Temperature Control

The warehouse for castings should be maintained within a relatively stable temperature range, generally between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius. Avoid excessively high or low temperatures that could negatively impact the aluminum alloy.

Humidity and Moisture Control

The warehouse should be moisture-proof to ensure that the castings do not corrode or oxidize due to dampness. If necessary, desiccants or other moisture-proof measures can be used.

Ventilation and Air Quality

The warehouse should be well-ventilated, maintaining fresh and dry air, avoiding the influence of dust, fumes, odors, and other pollutants. If necessary, air purification equipment can be used to improve air quality.

Light Control

Castings should avoid prolonged direct exposure to sunlight to prevent oxidation, fading, and other problems caused by ultraviolet radiation. Therefore, the warehouse should control lighting and avoid excessive direct sunlight.

Storage Methods and Facilities

Each casting has a unique shape, and appropriate storage methods should be customized according to its shape, such as using blister trays, to ensure its integrity.

When storing, the bottom should be separated from the ground by wooden blocks, with a distance of more than 10cm between the bottom and the ground to prevent the influence of ground moisture on the casting.

It is strictly forbidden to store with chemical materials or damp materials to prevent damage caused by chemical corrosion or moisture.
